The Gospel is Medicine: this axiom, which has always been thought of by Theology, is now attested by Medical Science itself for the first time in human history. The Gospel is the Medicine, the only Medicine, no longer solely of the soul but of the biomolecular body of Man himself. Christ discloses the genesis of the Biology of Love. The advent of Clinical Psychoneuroimmunology has definitively put an end to the distinction between spiritual health and biological well-being. PNEI has as its object the psycho-neuro-endocrine-immunological mechanisms through which soul healing can lead to bodily healing. Islamic Medicine is naturally psychic-spiritual: the reading of the Koran itself is considered as a therapy tool. It clearly affirms the Trinity of man as a physical, psychic and spiritual being. The spiritual reality of man becomes an essential parameter of both diagnosis and therapy. Modern psychoneuroimmunological scientific knowledge, i.e. inherent to the chemistry of psycho-immune relationships, finds in Islamic Medicine, more than in any other, the most perfect and similar philosophical basis to them.
