Floral Essences Range of Light

The 48 flower essences of the FES “Range of Light” repertory derive mainly from wild flowers whose habitat is constituted by the spectacular mountains of the Sierra Nevada which extend for approx. 650km along the eastern part of California and whose major peaks can reach 4500m in height.

It is a mountain environment characterized by the intensity of the sun at high altitudes, where the light enhances every nuance of the surrounding environment, and the green of the slopes is marked by gleaming granite outcrops, streams and pools of pure water, in a landscape that it changes gradually until it meets pristine deserts or splendid coastal regions.

This region has two distinct climatic seasons: the rainy season, from October to May, in which the proximity to the Pacific Ocean causes abundant snowfalls in the mountains and large quantities of rain in the plains; and the summer season, from June to September, marked by a splendid constant sun that melts the snow, and feeds the rivers and basins with crystalline water, energetically intact.

Thus the ideal combination is outlined for a luxuriant presence of spontaneous flowers on the alpine meadows, now bathed by the thaw and flooded by the light and heat of the sun. Many of these flowers participate in the creation of the Range of Light Flower Essences. Others come from Terra Flora, the FES wild flower sanctuary in Nevada City at the foot of the Sierra Mountains.
