Vitamin D is often called "the sunshine vitamin" because it is produced naturally under the skin following exposure to sunlight. Food sources of vitamin D include fortified foods, eggs, and fatty fish. While most vitamin D3 supplements on the market are derived from sheep's wool lanolin, Viridian Vitamin D3 capsules provide vitamin D3 in a vegan form derived from lichen. Viridian Vitamin D3 has been clinically studied at the University of Surrey and has been shown to increase serum vitamin D levels in the blood.

Vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of normal bones, teeth, muscle function and immune function. Vitamin D also contributes to the normal absorption/utilization of calcium and phosphorus.

Recommended doses:

Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) (1000IU) 25µg (500 VNR*), in an alfalfa base, vegetable cellulose capsule.

Does not contain:
Dairy, lactose, sucrose, wheat, soy, artificial colors, artificial preservatives, artificial flavors.

Precautions for use:
Do not take with other food supplements containing vitamin D. Store in a cool, dry place, out of sight and reach of children. Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, unless recommended by a doctor.
